Gibson Prewar RB-75 Flathead
$0.00
Gibson RB-75 “Street Rod”. Here is a very unique Gibson prewar 5-string flathead. I put this banjo together almost a decade ago with ALL original prewar parts. The original mahogany 5-string neck and mahogany resonator once belonged to a late 30’s/early 40’s RB-75 raised head banjo. The pearl neck-block is not engraved with “mastertone” which is not unusual in later style 75’s. The rim and nickel plated hardware is from a TB-3, FON 115-3. The rim has been cut and fit with an original early 1930’s Gibson 20-hole nickel plated flathead tone ring. I added an original 5-string pot-metal tension hoop and an original 5-string presto tailpiece. The amber Kluson tuners are original to the neck. I replaced the 5th string friction peg with a geared 5th tuner.
This banjo is nothing short of INCREDIBLE! Comes with an original redline 5-string case.
