1930 Gibson RB-3 Original 5-String Flathead. 9528-8 The John Hickman

Here is an incredible sounding prewar RB-3 Flathead.  This banjo was owned and played by John Hickman. Mahogany original 5-string neck and mahogany resonator. The original one-piece flange broke years ago and has been replaced with an original prewar flange. Original 5-string tension hoop and Presto tailpiece. The rim sports a beautiful un-cut label and an original high profile heavy weight 20-hole flathead tone ring.   The neck features a Brazilian fingerboard with wreath inlays and double-cut headstock. The back of the neck has been refinished with tung oil. The resonator back has been refinished a while back. All hardware is period correct and nickel plated. Original Hardshell case included.
