Here’s a very cool and historic banjo!  This is a TB-3 one-piece flange prototype and possibly the very first one-piece flange banjo made.  It has all original parts and no re-finishing. The one-piece flange banjos started in 1929 with a FON of 94XX. This one is 9393-1. It features nickel plating, raised head ring, and a full label. The resonator back is mahogany but it’s finished the same as a two-piece TB-3.  It has been converted to a five string with a 2001 Gibson mahogany neck and a Huber conversion ring. Included in the sale is the tenor neck, tenor case, original tone ring AND a period correct original Prewar five-string case.  $10,000
